How do you not tolerate things bother you?

How do you remain cool, confident, and undisturbed by things you see/hear/read that you don't close to? Some examples: an offensive ploy (racist, sexist, etc.), a bad picture, etc.How do you not tolerate things bother you?
The world, today, is full of disturbing things. In some ways one disturbed by what you hear or see is a good piece -- you have a marvelous sensitivity to what is valid. So much of our world has lost that preciousness of time, to protect what is good and right. Anger toward trouble or disrespect is actually a positive response - it shows your protection and concern.
One thing you can do - to preserve your healthy sensitivity - is to Guard Your Mind, and not dance around purposely exposing your self to things that should not be. Know what is going on in your world, but contain how many times you hear it or read it. (example: shootings within VA)
To a bad picture or an crude joke - of late turn and walk away. Your presence or non presence speaks loudly adequate.
Those are the best ways to remain cool and confident and yet still be the who of who you are.
Sooner or subsequently stress gets to a human being...until then most beings only just let it roll resembling oh really?
i try to figure it out every year cuz i'm pushed to my limit everyday. I write within my journal and a short time ago pray. I listen to upbeat music(think Rob Thomas). I keep my goal in check and a moment ago focus on that. You should do the same.
Consider the source, adopt it for what it is, and move on. Difficult, yes. Being mindful of your response is more revealing, than dwelling on the behavior of others.
