You have option if he is an ex. Get a restraining order. It have been my experience that individuals who tolerate abuse near themselves, get something out of the relationship. Find out what you are benefiting from the wounding relationship sympathy, victim doesn`t matter what. Stop feeding it and you will find a opening to stop the abuse
